DD will be dressing as a dragon for Halloween, specifically the dragon costume from PBK:

While buying her fall wardrobe, I kept this in mind (it was my favorite next to the woolly mammoth, actually) and tried to get things that would work with it. We managed two pairs of gloves from OshKosh.

Where else should I be looking for leggings or pants that will work with the dragon costume?

DD is a little taller than 39" and a kids' size 4 fits her pretty well (pants are only a little long.)

It tends to be very cold on Halloween in our area, so I'm looking for jegging-weight or fleece. I'm also ISO good tops to wear with it - last year, she was a goldfish & I paired an orange tunic from Gymboree with aqua-striped leggings from Hanna, so it was MUCH easier for me to figure it out!

I think that red would also look very cute with that costume. Carters, H&M, OLd Navy have good basics ...

I'm not sure of Hanes' sizing, but they have sweatpants in "Deep Forest:" http://www.hanes.com/clothing/girls/girls-sweats/hanes-youth-comfortblend-sweatpants. There's also a hoodie: http://www.hanes.com/clothing/boys/boys-sweats/hanes-comfortblend-youth-pullover-hoodie?cm_vc=OnsiteSearch&cmFV=.

Otherwise, Kohl's has some stuff in a "Lime Punch" color, which I think would be cute.
Fleece pants: http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1448214/jumping-beans-solid-fleece-pants-toddler.jsp?color=Lime%20Punch
French terry pants: http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1403228/jumping-beans-solid-french-terry-pants-toddler.jsp?color=Lime%20Punch
Solid tee: http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1432630/jumping-beans-solid-tee-toddler.jsp?color=Lime%20Punch
And also a hoodie: http://www.kohls.com/product/prd-1422774/jumping-beans-solid-hoodie-toddler.jsp?color=Lime%20Punch

Tea Collection has very dark green leggings in their new collection.

Thanks folks!

I'm actually trying to avoid red with the costume because I think it'll scream "Christmas" though I did (briefly) consider it - the dragon has stegosaurus-like "plates" in red down its back & tail.

I wish I could get Tea as easily as some other brands - there used to be a passport store nearby, but it's no longer listed in the store-finder. I suspect it's gone out of business.

We'll need to head to the Outlets to figure out her size for the Converse anyway, so I'll keep looking.

American apparel is always good for solid basics.

I hear they run slim; is this true? My DD has chunky legs, so I'm cautious about trying a new brand with so little time left before Halloween.

Amazon carries a lot of Tea. The new collections are a little delayed, but fairly up to date. It's awesome for those of us who have Prime.

They run a little small. I usually size up.

Thanks for this thread - my DD2 is about the same size as yours and wants to be a green Martian so I need green leggings and l/s top too! Probably more bright green than dark, and also need matching green gloves and socks if possible! Bookmarking!

We actually hit the outlets yesterday because DH needed new work pants & Ralph Lauren was running a sale.

So ... we came up with a navy & green striped thermal top from the boys' section at OshKosh Outlet, with fleece pants, also from OshKosh, for about $15. I put everything together on the hanger with her costume & am quite pleased with the results.

Citymama - I wouldn't recommend the OshKosh stuff we got for your DD's costume because it does say "OshKosh" on it, but my DD's costume will cover it, so I'm OK with it. FWIW, they do have dark & bright green knit gloves as well as socks that would match those gloves in the store, but IDK if they would be too warm for your area.
