Opinions on chameleon crocs that change color

DD needs some new crocs. I am a fan of the single color classic and also the open toe styles. I am intrigiued by the chameleon ones that change color in the son. A small number of reviews say it wears out and looks like a washed out translucent plastic when it does. Has anyone tried them, and opinions if they would recommend them? Thinking of getting the yellow-green or the lilac-carnation.

DD had the pink ones that turned purple. She thought they were really cool. They do eventually stop working as well and yes, once they don't transform so great they do sort of just become kind of a translucent pink. But, by the time they were like that she needed a bigger size anyway. I bought them for like $20 or something and I felt like they were worth that, but I probably wouldn't pay full price for them.
