I'm thinking of getting DD her first pair of roller skates for Christmas. She'll be about 4.5 years old and wears size 10-10.5 shoes. She has never roller skated before and is not the most coordinated child. Not quite sure what to get, so any recommendations would be appreciated. Should I get her:

something like this plastic one that fits over the shoes:

We have the first skates. They're fine, but they're toys not skates IMO. My DS can skate like a champ on ice skates but is pretty ineffective on these. They're fun but I wouldn't expect much from them.
