That is a good price! I got mine from the Vitamix website during BF last year, but this deal is WAY better!

Anyone want to talk me into this? Why do I need it?

ETA: just saw it does coffee beans....does it do a good job?

I'd love a deal on the short wet container! Anyone see anything? Maybe BF!

See...some of the reviews suggest folks are using interchangeably....is there harm in using dry canister just for small size?

I'm curious why I'd need a dry container too. What can you do with it that you can't do with the regular container?

If you are gluten free it is great for grinding your own flour, kneading dough, mixing batter.

Good overview about it here. Essential not really but for this price it would be worth it (to me).

Thanks OP! Everytime I see the demo at Costco I think about the smaller container but can't stomach the $100 price. I really want one that fits under the counter. I'm hoping the reviews I read that they're interchangeable are correct.

I was reading the SD thread and people are buying them to sell the blade or replace the blade. I'm going to switch out the Wet Blade on my large container to the small container. Best of both, a smaller wet blade container and a dry blade container.

Thank you!!! I bought the dry container a few months ago from Costco...still in box waiting for the holidays. Just used the Ebates 2.5% as well. Only wish that QVC didn't charge sales tax...bummer.

So essentially buy the short, dry container and then swap the wet blade that's on my tall? Genius!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this exactly. But I bought it since it was such a good deal. Making my own flours is really appealing.

Thanks, dh and I tried whole 30 and then realized after whole 30, that we need to be more diligent about being gluten free. So, I think that ulitmately, we will have to make our own gluten free flour if we want any kind of substitute. So, I did get this, BUT did you guys notice that it said that you can get this accessory for $50 with any purchase of a vitamix blender? Due to that wording, I hope that the order doesn't get canceled. 5% back using shop discover!

Yay to Whole 30! It's awesome that you are both sticking with it!! :) It was a Today's Special Value, so there shouldn't be an issue. Mine hasn't shipped yet but no red flags at all. Enjoy!!

I got mine haven't switched the blades yet. I guess you can do it with their special wrench or a screwdriver? Haven't decided if I should order the wrench or attempt with a screwdriver?

Back on Amazon - just click on other sellers to get the $57.xx deal. Amazon is listed there, but it's a 1-2 month wait.
