DH just told me DD reported that she bent over in the shower and saw that there are 2 holes. To clarify, I just asked if she had any questions about her body. She said, "No questions. I just saw there was one hole, then another hole inside that hole. Bye, I'm off to make more Rainbow Loom bracelets."

I can just let this ride for now, right? She's 7.

Just tell her what they are in very basic terms. Knowledge is always good.

Definitely address it if she's asking. Just the facts, nice and simple, don't make it emotional or a big deal. And tell her there are 3 holes!

I'd talk to her about it. More often than not, we're the ones hyperventilating about these types of things and the kids aren't bothered a bit.

I personally would tell her she is right. When you say, "let it ride" do you mean not telling her she has a vagina?
I think DD has known about vaginas as just another body part from day 1. There is the urethra where pee comes out, an anus where poop comes out and a vagina, where babies come out.

I would use this opportunity to talk about it, a simple anatomy discussion not the whole birds and bees thing. I think it's a great opportunity since she's curious and better than trying to bring it up out of the blue later

By 7, I think she should know her body parts. The books It's Not the Stork and It's So Amazing are frequently recommended here. I can never remember the age range for each. One is 4-7 and one is 7-10.

I'm impressed by her flexibility. Lol.

This is what I was thinking. Basic biology answers :)
