American Girl School Locker Alternative

DD has been asking for one of those mini metal school lockers for a few years now. I wish I had gotten her one because she now wants the AG version which is $58 http://store.americangirl.com/agshop/html/item/id/209113/ctc/XSCOORD . I know there are others out there and have looked online, but don't know the quality. Anyone have a mini metal locker that you like, think is fairly good quality and works well for use with AG dolls? I saw some online with plastic shelves and I'd rather avoid that. I have looked at them at Justice, but they are always covered with glitter and sequins, etc. I'm sure DD will be happy with any locker as long as she gets one - doesn't have to be AG. Thanks!

My kids are also wanting the locker - I don't know if I can do it for that ridiculous price. (Might pass it off to MIL as a Chritmas gift idea.)

Do you think she would be into building her own? Lowe's has a Build and Grow kit to build a wood locker. There are two although I can't tell the difference - seems the cheaper one is taller?

This one is on my short list. Was just hoping somebody actually had one (or any other brand) IRL and could comment on it. Not sure if this one has removable shelves. The AG locker only has only small shelf at the top, therefore more room in the bottom. This might be it if I can't find anything else. Plan to go to Justice soon to see if they have any in the store - have seen some online, but want to look at it first. Thanks!
