DD graduated from her EI services last week

and our OTs have said that DS has been doing so well - really regulated for quite some time - that they think he's ready to graduate too

so we will have our last OT right before Thanksgiving

I can't believe it. the first time in well over two years that we'll be without multiple weekly appts.

We still see the pedi psychologist on occasion, but that's mostly maintenance for now

I know that we may backslide at some point, but for now, I'm just celebrating that we've made it this far

I was thinking in bed this morning how lucky I feel and how grateful I am to have these amazing, funny, sweet, smart little kids...in or out of therapy. But YEAH for not having to jacka$$ around all week long anymore. Or pay out of pocket a gagillion dollars a week.

And thanks to everyone here who helped me along the way while navigating the myriad of issues.

I wouldn't have made it without your advice and support

:cheerleader1: Congratulations!

I had a mix of emotions when DD graduated OT. She had accomplished everything she needed to, but we loved our therapist so much that we didn't want to leave. A few weeks later DD's SLP went on medical leave (a very, very sad situation), but DD was nearly ready to graduate from speech also. We went from twice weekly visits to nothing in such a short time that it was really odd not to be making the trips to the therapy center.

Yay!

My son has three different therapists through EI. All three are planning to release him in the next couple of months. He has been with them for nearly two years, so it will be bittersweet, but it will free up a whole lot of time!
