There is something wrong with my laptop, I can't figure out what it is. I was hoping someone could shed some light my way. Every couple of days, I receive one of two pop up windows, usually when I am not working on my computer. As in, the laptop is on, screen is open, sitting on my desk, and a window opens and goes straight to either a website regarding updating Windows drivers (with a web address clearly not Microsoft. This morning it was from an Australian brewing company.) Or, a secure window opens and goes to the Discover credit card home page.
I run Kaspersky antivirus software 24/7, I have ran Lavasoft's Ad-Aware program and I just downloaded the Malware program from Microsoft. I have run full scans of each program and they have all come back with no detections.
If it makes a difference, I use Mozilla Firefox to surf the web. I am pretty sure this all started when I downloaded a kids phonics worksheet from Pinterest.
Anyone BTDT? What am I missing?
