Do the bins hold hanging file folders? I have tons of multipurpose bins and would like to use hanging files but want to make sure it'll work before I go out and buy some.

No. It's their one failing. File folders will fit inside (I have the smallest size with regular file folders and appliance manuals), but hanging file folders are too tall to hang on the edge.

I don't find mine too tall to hang, but the folders I have are not wide enough to hang. They miss by about .5 inches. If you could figure a way to make a rod or something about .5 inches in from one of the short sides, it would work.
