The cabinets in this old house we bought are decent and solid wood, but some (the corner ones) are a bit dingy. It is hard for me to get in there to properly clean, and I am not entirely sure it can be done as the house sat empty for about 10 years. Still, there's no reason to rip out a perfectly decent kitchen. So I was wondering about painting, white, inside and out (outside is already white). Have you done this? I need something that is washable/wipeable, obviously.

No. I have painted the outside and that is tedious enough. I am just not capable of expending that much energy on the insides of cabinets. I would wipe down, put down new shelf paper and call it good.
