My DDs have expressed an interest in getting AG dolls, so I ordered one online for my younger DD for her bday. The package came. I opened it up and I had not expected the doll's eyes to be so realistic --to the point that I'm kinda freaked out by it. I had my DH cut the doll out of the package b/c I was a bit scared to touch it. After taking it out of the box, of course my husband chased me around the house with it! I think I've watched too much Chucky /horror movies as a kid and have an irrational fear of dolls now. I know my older DD will want one once she learns that her little sister has one. I don't know if I can handle two in the house. Please tell me I'm not the only one to feel this way.

No, can't say that's been a problem.

I don't have a problem with it, but I could see how someone might. I've had contractors here who have been a little creeped out by them, so I put them away.

No, not with AG. The eyes on other dolls I often find to be creepy. I can't stand the Madame Alexander dolls. :o

I can't stand the Amish dolls with no faces. They freak me out. All because of a television commercial for some horror movie a billion years ago. So I don't have your exact issue, but I do understand.

I was never a doll person but Miss Moopey has a tiny corelle. It doesn't bother me now but if we get more into it could. I completely get the creepy doll thing. (do you watch Amercian Horror Story: Coven? oooohh the dolls upstairs....)

And my hubby would chase me around too

Not with AG, but Madame Alexander definitely. My MIL is always after me to start a doll collection for the DDs and I say no way, because I don't like the creepy doll eyes on them. My sister scared the carp out of me as a kid by telling me one of the dolls in our neighbor's doll collection would follow you with its eyes. We would be taking care of their plants while they were on vacation and I wouldn't walk through the living room just to avoid that doll.

No problem with me, but the the My Twinn dolls are a little freaky to me, and other than that the only dolls that have really scared me ever were My Buddy (http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=my+buddy&qs=n&form=QBIR&pq=my+buddy&sc=0-0&sp=-1&sk=#a), or Teddy Ruxtpin (http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=teddy+ruxtpin&qs=n&form=QBIR&pq=teddy+ruxtpin&sc=0-0&sp=-1&sk=). My Buddy dolls were really popular when the Child's Play movies were out and probably where some of the inspiration for Chucky came from.

DD1 has a baby Madame Alexander Huggums doll (http://www.babygiftsoutlet.com/images/large/madame-alexander-huggums-baby-doll-pink-check_BG12036.jpg) that looks a lot like the one that I had growing up, and my mom has a few of hers from her childhood, but the newer ones just aren't the same. Those are definitely creepy looking.

See, to me, Huggems is the definitive creepy! Shudder.

DD's isn't quite as white and doesn't have as rosey cheeks, but it still looks a little less creepier than these Madame Alexander My First Baby (http://www.amazon.com/Madame-Alexander-My-First-Baby/dp/B000S17L9E/ref=sr_sp-btf_title_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1383929937&sr=8-10&keywords=madame+alexander+baby) faces. It is probably just what you are used to though.

I haven't noticed that. Maybe you got one that's possessed. ;)
