microscope for Christmas?

I want to buy my 9 yo children a microscope for Christmas. I want something that they can use for a while, but not something so expensive that they cannot really use it now. Any suggestions?

Fisher Price had an AWESOME one in the 80s, but I suspect they no longer make it - it had a built-in light source, different power lenses, premade slides, etc.

My brother loved it.

Amscope gets good reviews among HSers I know.

Brock Magiscope is different, but has some cool things you can do like take the eyepiece out into the field.
