Create a monster (monster high) question

I have two boys. S I have a hard time with the girl stuff. My neice is 8 and likes monster high. Or is this all she needs. I keep seeing The design lab.

We looked into, but it only makes 1 whole doll. You only get 1 torso and 1 wig and lots of other pieces. DD decided against it and would rather have the dolls instead. She does have the design lab and it works shockingly well :).

If your niece has other MH dolls, I think the create kit is fine. If it's some of her first dolls, I'm not as sure.
