Reposting here for more traffic. Thanks TXCat for your rec in my other thread.

I need some help finding an inexpensive, reliable bassinet (DH does not want to purchase one secondhand). With DD we used a PnP, but we have since redone our bedroom and do not have the space for a PnP this time. There are a few that I am looking at, can anyone offer reviews of these or other recommendations?

With DD we used the first generation FP Rock and Play for a loong time because she had reflux, but I'd like something with a little more room for the baby to stretch, so I am considering this one (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=19707126&cp=2255957.2273443.2255983.2256271&parentPage=family). However, I'm wondering how stable it is if DD leans on it or grabs the side to look over and inside. I also have this irrational fear of bumping into it in the middle of the night and knocking it over.

DH found this one (http://www.walmart.com/ip/Delta-Sweet-Beginnings-Bassinet-White/22137215?srccode=cii_10043468&cpncode=32-280966241-2&wmlspartner=bizratecom&adid=csebr00000000000000000000000000000101&veh=cse), and it seems decent, but I can't look at it in person. Also, it has a weight limit of 15 lbs. This one (http://www.diapers.com/p/delta-playtime-jungle-rocking-bassinet-641973?clickid=VxpS8kRCA3RR3IXXUPQMFURCUkT0pwxLk3y-x00&utm_term=Primary&utm_content=VigLink&utm_medium=Affiliate_D&utm_campaign=IR_D&utm_source=IR) is similar, but rocks.

And then there are the Graco Mini PnPs, but the top bassinet part has a weight limit of 15 lbs. I don't want to reach down to the bottom part all the time - this may or not be an issue because I have no idea how much the new baby will weigh or what kind of an eater she will be (and I can't compare to DD who was a preemie and still weighs under 25 lbs at 4 years).

We used one of the mini pnp's with dd and we never thought she slept well in it FWIW. And if we had used it for our dss they would have lasted until about 3 months max in it before hitting the weight limit. For ds1 and ds2 we moved their crib right into our room (we are lucky with space in our master). Ds2 slept in a newer rock'n'play until he was about 8 weeks old though with no issue.

We used the Arms Reach mini co sleeper. We kept all four sides up and used as a bassinette, not as a co sleeper. You can use it until they can sit up.

We just got a rock and play for DD2. I love it. I have a small space on my side of the bed and it fits perfectly. DD2 is sleeping well in it and I don't think she would do as well in a traditional bassinet.

A regular rock and play (where the head is inclined) or the bassinet one (which is flat)?

Regular rock and play. She is very long and seems to have lots of length room. I like the curve of it because it encases her which she prefers from just lying flat.

I had the one you linked first, the Rock N Play Bassinet and LOVED it. Very sturdy (I had a 2.5 year old and 5 year old at the time, never an issue). Folds flat. Holds 25lbs. Nice gender neutral colors, not babyish. Receiving blankets folded in half fit perfectly over the bottom cushion. Easy to wash. Good price. Loved the mesh sides. Lasted us 6 months before my DS outgrew it. That was a sad, sad day. Highly recommend it!
