Help a novice here...are Uggs/shearling boots meant to be used as snowboots/in the snow? Or do you get snowboots separate from Uggs and what do you then use the shearling boots for?

Uggs are not waterproof; you can spray them to protect the suede but your foot could still get soaked wearing Uggs.

Uggs are fashion boots. They are warm, but not waterproof. Dd wears them to school and the playground and so on. But we don't get snow here.

We got our first uggs 9 yrs ago and made the snow mistake. Won't do THAT again! U Will need separate boots for sure.

And I am only now bringing myself to get them for older DD because her foot growth has very much stabilized.
