View Full Version : Casual sweater under $100
I'd like to suggest a few things for a holiday present for me. This would be for dh and the kids to give me. I was thinking a pull over sweater to wear with jeans and such. Wool makes me itch and acrylic makes me sweat, so I usually go with cotton sweaters. No more than $100, less would be better.
I found this one at Eddie Bauer: http://www.eddiebauer.com/catalog/product.jsp?ensembleId=45245&&categoryId=95&categoryName=SWEATERS--CARDIGANS&pCategoryId=3&pCategoryName=WOMEN&gpCategoryId=1&gpCategoryName=EB&catPath=~~categoryId=95~~categoryName=SWEATERS--CARDIGANS~~pCategoryId=3~~pCategoryName=WOMEN~~gpC ategoryId=1~~gpCategoryName=EB&viewAll=n&pg=1&cmPathInfo=null
My taste runs simple and loose fitting. I'd probably like dark red, purple, or dark green best for colors.
Thanks for for any suggestions!

It is not a pull over, but a cardigan and I have the version from 2010 and I love it! I am getting for my mom and my sister for Xmas. Mine is a medium so you should be fine with a small. I have it in navy. It is thicker than it looks online, but it isn't overly warm and I have worn it with long sleeve or short sleeve tees. I saw it in the local store if you want to go in and try it on.

I'm on a quest for a cotton, chunky, off white sweater under $100. I have looked all over and just now looking at JCP. Maybe too low rent for you but they have a ton of good looking options.

Definitely not too low rent for me, half my wardrobe is ON after all. Will take a look.

I like the looks of this from Anthroplogie http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/clothes-sweaters-pullovers/30037105.jsp?cm_sp=Fluid-_-30037105-_-Large_9
But it has acrylic and wool and is dry clean only. (Plus the review says the fit isn't really as pictured). Anyone seen anything similar that might work?
Thanks!

Have you bought anything from J.Jill in the past? Their stuff tends to run very big and a bit boxy. I wore some of it when I was pregnant because it was so forgiving, but I would definitely recommend ordering a size or maybe two sizes normal than you would normally.
Thanks! I like the style if the free people one, but not the color so much. It's been awhile, but I have had some JJill things in the past.
