Is it normal to get extra pieces in the Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar?

Yes, I think so. This happened to us last year too. Quite a few of the days have extra pieces.

yes, every Lego calender I've had has extra pieces. Often the seemingly most lost one, other times just a random one that would be in the middle of the object.

It's pretty much the norm with any Lego set, so I didn't think anything of it when we had a few extra pieces in ours.

This is our fifth year of various Lego advent calendars and the days frequently have extra pieces. Usually the more unusual stuff (like extra "carrot" noses for snowmen) or the very tiny pieces.

This is our third or fourth year doing it and I have ZERO memory of extra pieces in the past. What is wrong with me? Thanks guys!

Thanks for this. I thought I was just not awake enough at 6 am this morning trying to help DS put today's item together. This is our first year with the calendar, and boy is it a hit!

Yep - we get them in the Lego City calendar too. Yesterday it was an extra dog bone. I guess because if you lose a dog bone, you're not likely to have another?
