A neighbor is having a party and I am planning to go. Will buy something. I was considering either a handbag or a necklace. I found some recommendations in earlier thread for necklaces, but would love any other suggestions. Suitable for casual wear would be best. I didn't see anything about their handbags. Are they nice? Worth the money? I'd be looking at the small one.

I'm going to a party tomorrow too! I've bought a couple of things in the past and I've been extremely happy with my purchases. I've only seen the jewelry so far, so I'm no help on the handbags. My favorite purchase so far is the Gitane tassel necklace. It's understated, but sparkly, and has a mixed metal effect which is versatile with other jewelry.

I don't have any of their handbags but I have these Geneve lace-inspired earrings and they are lovely... great when I want to dress up. They are rose gold so maybe hard to match with other jewelry (I wear them alone or with the matching cuff bracelet)

I am a S&D addict. I have a bag, lots of jewelry and scarves. Their scarves are amazing so I'd rec those if you need one. I have the weekender bag and love it. Love that it expands.

I love everything I have from S&D so you really can't go wrong. My favorite pieces are the Kimberly necklace and Gitane Tassel necklace.

Thanks for the suggestions! I don't wear the rather nice scarves (some silk from our China trip) I have all that much so I don't want another. I cannot wear earrings--they irritated my ears so much I stopped wearing them years ago and I doubt I could even get them in anymore.

When you buy at a party, do you have to wait for shipping? I was thinking about getting my mom's Christmas present, but the party isn't until the 15th so I'm thinking that won't work for timing.

I have a lot of more delicate necklaces and sometimes wish for something more substantial, but really chunky stuff is kind of too much for my frame. Think this one would look okay with relatively casual clothes? Or is it just for dressy stuff?

I have the Rebel in gold and I could probably wear it every day. I try to limit myself to 3 times a week. :p

Thanks you all! I went ahead and ordered some earrings as gifts, shipped directly to the recipients so they will get there before Christmas. I'm going to wait for the party to chose anything for myself. Hoping they will have samples of the things I am interested in.

UPDATE
Party was today. I ordered the Zoe Lariat necklace: http://www.stelladot.com/shop/en_us/p/n281

It can be worn a couple of different ways and I liked that it was substantial looking without being clunky. I do also like the mixed metal thing. I thought it was very wearable (casual to somewhat dressy) and different from anything I have. With that purchase, I got $25 to spend on a purchase over $50 after January 3 and plan to replace some chains for other random necklaces that have broken using that.

I did like actually seeing the pieces and trying them on as things I liked online I liked less in person and things vice versa.
