Help. There are a couple of cards I have to send to people living with their kids and their BF/Gf. How do I address the card?
I am thinking:
Jane, Tommy and Timmy Doe
Jim Dandy
123 Main St.
Anywhere, USA 12345
Or is it
Jane Doe and Jim Dandy
Tommy and Timmy Doe
123 Main St
Anywhere USA 12345
THanks for any help!!

I don't always follow the rules, but I would do it something like this:
Jane Doe, Jim Dandy, and family
I'm 100% sure this is not the "correct" way but it is what I would do.
Married couple with different last names gets the first line with an and in between their names. The and indicates they are married. Kids names get listed on the second line with no and.
Jane Doe and Jim Dandy
Timmy Dandy, Tommy Dandy

I would use the first option you listed because as Catherine said, the one line and "and" indicates a married couple.

I agree with Beth's option. I don't follow strict etiquette when addressing holiday cards. IMO the rules are more relaxed when addressing these, than when addressing wedding invitations.
I usually do the x family for invitations, and rarely use individual names, unless it is a single person. I understand that does not apply in this situation, so I would address them as Beth described.
