Hooray, I am so happy they found the two adults and four children, ages three to ten, who had been missing in the snow in Nevada for two days. All in "fairly good condition."

I was happy to hear this as well. They stayed with the vehicle, which is a big reason they are all alive.

Great news. Often these stories don't turn out so well.

Great story. I love survival stories. Starting a fire and bringing hot rocks into the jeep was super smart.

It was. A follow up article I read said they did everything right: let people know where they were going, stayed with the vehicle, used the stones to keep everyone warm. No frostbite even! They were out of food though. I can't imagine how hard that just have been to just wait knowing you were out of food.

WOW, I am impressed that they had the presence of mind to do all these things. The worst part is one kid was without her mom! Imagine how awful it was for the kid and also for the poor mom who didn't know where she was. Shudder.

Wow, such a relief. The rock thing was a fantastic idea!

They are very lucky no one was hurt in the rollover to start with..... that's a Jeep Wrangler.... carrying 6 people. At least one person (maybe 2?) must have been unrestrained. They are very lucky indeed.

Oh yay! I saw the news story that they were missing and have been thinking about those kids ever since. Such fantastic news, I'm so happy. It was insanely cold out there and 2 days is no joke.

Lesson to everyone to try and keep a full tank of gas in your car, especially during bad weather.

It said it was a jeep cherokee but still that only has 5 seats. So some of the kids were not in seat belts? They were indeed lucky.

I've read articles that said Cherokee and some say Wrangler. But, in the pics, it is clearly a Wrangler, with a soft-top.

Here's a video where an NBC reporter went to the scene. It has a soft-top on. Amazing they were able to stay warm enough to survive. Really amazing.
