Best palce to find "ugly sweater"?

I am going to an "ugly Christmas sweater" party tonight and I got nothing in this dept. I know my SIL probably has some stuff that would work but I feel rude asking her as she wears them for real, and while she does have a sense of humor, and knows we have vastly different tastes in clothes, I don't want to completely offend her.
I have a Target and Old Navy close by. Are those my best bets to get as ugly of a "regular" sweater as possible?

I don't know if you'll have any luck at those stores. I ended up borrowing one from a friend and when I asked her where she got it, she said from Goodwill! I would check there.

There's actually a vintage clothing store near me that's been advertising that they have lots of ugly holiday sweaters : )

I'd try Salvation Army, goodwill, thrift shop etc. like mentioned above.

I was in ON yesterday, and I don't recall seeing anything that would work. What about Kohl's? I don't know if you have one close by, but they always have a section of um, festive sweaters and they've always got a coupon floating around out there.

Our goodwill had a whole rack of ugly sweaters right by the entrance.

Definitely Kohl's or a thrift store. You'll probably also find some in Macy's, Belk and other department stores that having clothing lines that appeal to the "mature, but festive" shopper. LOL

I was in our Hallmark store yesterday and they had these little kits you could buy with "ugly" Xmas sweater motifs you could add temporarily to your sweater. Sadly I don't know the brand name, but if you are near a Hallmark store you might want to run in and check. I thought it was a great idea and sounds like it would work perfectly for your situation!

I found one at walmart. They had Christmas sweaters, cardigans, vests, and t-shirts. Have fun at the party!

I was in Walmart the last week and DD's friend pointed to a holiday sweater and said " what an ugly sweater!" so I have to say check there.

I'm thinking places likes the Dillards clearance, or Ross. Get one of those Christmas motif sweater vests!!!! Walmart and Kohls are great ideas too and I bet they would have something.

Target has them in store for sure. They are of the intentionally ugly variety, not for the mature population ;)

You guys! The ones you are posting are too cute. I went to an ugly sweater contest this week (didn't wear one) and the sweaters were HIDEOUS. Think old granny turtleneck/kitty/bells/vests/etc. I cannot even describe how ugly they were!

I would second goodwill except that I would freak out about not have time to wash it first!

OP, I had to add a reply to this, just for amusement's sake - I saw an interview on our local TV morning show with a guy who founded a company selling nothing other than ugly Christmas sweaters! Here is their link - some of the sweaters are pretty choice. ;)
