Most Nickelodeon and Disney Jr. shows have some Christmas episodes that are shown during December. Check the TV listings and see if something is on.

the only ones my kiddos want to watch is The Polar Express. It keeps both kiddos entertained/captivated. We bought it off amazon prime. Maybe bc the Santa, train, elves are very realistic. Also, it's nice bc *I* enjoy watching it, too :) and the music is really good. I tried watching Frosty with them last year (as it was a old favorite of mine as a kid) and they weren't into it at all

I like the Curious George one. I didn't let my kids watch the Mickey's Christmas one actually. Also watched Thomas and Friends Christmas specials. And my kids love Pingu anything.

DD is a scaredy cat. Handy Manny, doc McStuffins, and octonauts all have fun christmas episodes. Oh and special agent Oso.

Rudolph is too scary for DD. she liked Arthur Christmas at 3yo.

Rudolph doesn't bother my DD, but she's not particularly sensitive compared to other kids.

Anyway, we are currently wild about these, available on our cable system's OnDemand:

Sofia the First - Christmas in Enchancia
Special Agent Oso - Living Holiday Lights
Octonauts - The Great Christmas Rescue
Doc McStuffins - A Very McStuffins Christmas

I'm also partial to the Handy Manny one - Flicker Saves Christmas.

DD also likes Prep & Landing.

Hope this helps!!

Calliou holiday special on iTunes

iTunes has a Dora ice skating special too.

DC loves Pingu Igloo.

Peanuts Christmas - whatever it is actually called - has been our favorite. Of course they are also rotating in the Great Pumpkin and the Thanksgiving one for good measure even in December.

...

DD loves Caillou, but she could NOT sit through the holiday special.

(I didn't like it either, but I hate Caillou, so I'm not exactly objective.)

Muppet Christmas Carol?

That's going to be on ABC Family a few times in the next couple of days. That's usually a good way to gauge interest.

My DD is hit-or-miss with live-action films, though. Right now, she really seems to prefer animated ones unless they're musicals. Then she's more patient.

She did OK with this:

We watched this one on youtube tonight - brought back lots of childhood memories for me!

Thanks for the magic flute rec! I'm a big fan of opera and took DS1 to this when he was 7.

Ugh. Who does like Caliliou? (Besides kids!)
