Any suggestions?

DS#2 loves woodworking and working with his hands so we bought him a tool set, it's a drill press, lathe, etc. here's a link.

The problem is it's backordered until Feb, I just got the email last night. We didn't want to buy "adult" tools as this can get really expensive and if he decides he doesn't want to use it...

So does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find something similar and about the same price? I checked Amazon and they only sell this through Mindware and the other options they had start at $142.

It seems to be in stock at Hearthsong. It was one of the first on a google search for the name of the toy. There may be others.

I'd try Hearthsong, but their CS is horrible. Even calling and finding out that it is instock doesn't ensure that it is. Drives me nuts:(

Hearthsong's shipping is awful. Just do a search here. I wouldn't not count on them if you need it by Christmas.

Thanks for the suggestions. DH seems to think we should just wait until February. We'll figure something out.
