"cool" knee socks for teenager (and preteens)

Are these a "thing" right now? If anyone knows, please would you share your thoughts?

I have a (tall) teenage girl who might love them.

Also, an 8-year old on a track and cross country team, and some of the girls wore them (looked pretty cute).

Any ideas on best place to buy (ie: "coolest", yes, I am sorry to say we are at the stage where they have to be the *right* ones, sigh)?

A lot of the kids around here wear the ones from Claire's. I think I've seen them at Target too. They tend to be really long (over the knee) length, but they can fold them down to knee length if they want. Popular on the basketball and cross country teams this fall.

I buy them for myself (and have bought them for a now 17 year old "little sister" since she was in her early teens) from Target. Sometimes they are too long -- I am 5'3" -- but I just fold the top part down a little bit. I wear them to work most of the winter for added warmth, so every year I get myself a couple of new solid pair in black/gray/brown and a couple of fun pair for when I am wearing boots or when I have a more casual day. Today I am wearing black ones with candy canes, but I think I got them from Dollar Tree. I think I've also gotten some at Dehlia's (sp?) in the past.

We are all burnt out with the candles... the company is still going with wholesale orders, but we are closed for retail at the moment, I am sorry :(

About the knee sock thanks, the LittleMissMatched ones were *perfect* - I got 6 pairs of very cute (and quite overpriced!) ones and found a 10% discount coupon. I also found a few adult-sized ones on eBay for the teen in my extended family. Thanks for the help ladies, I appreciate it!

Glad you found some. My 10 year old is totally into knee socks right now. I found a bunch at Target and she was THRILLED.
