Apparently all my tween/teen nieces and nephew want for Christmas are gift cards. Even though I'm happy to get gift cards I'm not so fond of giving them, but at this point I've not been given any other ideas so I'm giving up and hitting up all their favorite stores to get GCs tomorrow.

Are there any fun ways to package gift cards for 10-14 year olds besides an envelope? I'd love to use puzzle boxes (like these (http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/a82b/)) but not sure I want to pay for expedited shipping (we're leaving Friday to see them.) Anyone seen something like this in a B&M store?

TIA!
Sarah :)

I looked around on pinterest to find a creative way to give gift cards and I didn't find much--maybe I wasn't searching right? Anyways, how about putting it with a simple little item? For example, if they like twizzlers, you can put some twizzlers in a mason jar with a note that says "Twiz the season"--saw that on pinterest.

Probably not what you're looking for, but TJ's has Belgian chocolate bars with a slit in the outer box for a gift card. I think it also says To:/From: on the box.

Not exactly creative but I have seen a number of tins etc at CVS and Target to "wrap" gift cards or money .... http://www.amazon.com/Holiday-Gift-Card-Tin-Only/dp/B00A4CRRH8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1387136038&sr=8-2&keywords=Gift+Tins

You could always buy a bunch of those tiny stockings and put the gift card and a candy cane in it. Again I have seen these at CVS. http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Stockings-Party-Accessory-count/dp/B0019HX4PG/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1387136099&sr=8-4&keywords=mini+stockings

You could use some festive washi tape to tape the gift card to any small box of chocolates or treat. I had a sweet gluten-free babysitter and as a thank you, I taped a cute owl Target gift card to a GF Go Picnic box. She really appreciated it! I know that Target has washi tape in their office supply section.

Ooh, I like the mason jar idea...I could personalize each one with their favorite kind of candy. Now I just have to find out what that is!

Not extremely creative, but I got some mini gift bags made for gift cards.

Thanks for all the ideas! Most likely I'll go with the mason jar plan, but I'll have to see if anything else jumps out at me while I'm out running errands tomorrow.

I remember seeing some cute ways on Pinterest to give cash gifts..I know its not a gift card but it would probably appeal to that age group.

DS1 is getting money from my aunt. It'll come in this: http://www.amazon.com/Magnif-1200-MagNif-Money-Puzzle/dp/B0002YDQBY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387162987&sr=8-1&keywords=money+maze
