Every year, the adults on my side of the family draw names and only buy gifts for the person who's name they have. This year I have my uncle. We usually exchange wish lists with each other, but my uncle hasn't sent me his yet for whatever reason. At Thanksgiving though he did mention that he wanted more golf shirts and other golf accessories. I think he mentioned some kind of "performance" shirts from some special fabric or something. Does anyone know of any good brands for golf shirts or other gifts for a new golfer (I think it's a somewhat new hobby).

I have gotten some at Target, and Nordstrom Rack. The Target ones are the Champion brand, and the one from Nordstrom Rack I think is an Under Armour or Nike. They tend to run big.

My dad likes to get his from Sports Chalet and Sports Authority. They carry a couple different brands.

DH loves Ashworth & Bobby Jones if he can get them from a customer and not pay for them. He likes the Adidas & Nike ones also.

My DH really loves the Greg Norman golf shirts. I know they are sold at Macys and maybe Belk.

Thanks everyone! I will look into those brands! On Amazon it looks like the most popular and highest rated ones are by Under Armour and Nike.

Seeing as you're in CA, I'd head to a Golf store, Ashworth and Nike are very popular and nice quality. Some men like the newer "wicking" fabrics, others like old school cotton, if you can find his preference that would help.

Sounds like he doesn't want the cotton, but the newer fabrics athletic apparel is made of. Ashworth is "old man" style. Under Armor, Nike, and Adidas are all very current and popular. There are also traditional golf brands, like Calloway, but they trend towards more mature, too. That may well be what he likes, not sure of his age. In our area, Dicks Sporting Goods has a large selection for all ages.
