Target Price Match Question

Tried to do my first Target price match yesterday. I wanted to purchase Despicable Me 2 on DVD. Price at Target was 24.99, price at Amazon was 19.99. When I went up to customer service to do it, she said they couldn't because it was a Prime price and those prices were discounted? I tried to explain to her that pretty much everything on Amazon was prime, but she wouldn't budge.

Just wondering if this is the norm?

I would try again with a different person or speak with a supervisor. Amazon is one of the merchants listed in their price match policy, and I've had no problems price matching anything on there. Prime shipping shouldn't matter at all. I think she's just confused.

sometimes Prime prices are higher than regular price to cover the "free" shipping. That lady was wrong.
