I have the shorter one of the 2. I think its the Parka? Anyways, I have it in a Petite size and I am 5'2". Its perfect and very very warm! I am toasty even when it was -10 the other day. I am in northern Vermont.

I just got the Shimmer Down Coat. It's a lot of coat - very long and a big fuzzy hat! I don't reach for it unless going to be outside for a long time, but for prolonged periods in cold weather it's awesome. Especially with wind - nothing gets under it and having warm legs and bum is so nice!

So it's not the most practical for day to day use, but fantastic for standing around in the cold.

The longer the better for warmth, in my experience. Flashy, my Shimmer Down is my medium weight coat. I think of my super long Chalet as a lot of coat. Wearing it today and it's way too much for 30 degrees and no wind.
