Camera broke last night!

I turned it on to get a cute picture of DD and it said something about a lens error and shut down. So now all of the Christmas picture had to be taken with my phone and my mom's camera (neither of which are particularly great cameras). My camera is not a DSLR, but is still a very good point & shoot which we paid a lot of money for, so bummed.

I know this is a BP, post I am open to advice too.

That stinks! I had something similar happen to me on my P & S. I had to take out the batteries and put them back in to get it to work.

What crappy timing! :(

How long ago did you buy it and from where? If it's over a year and not from Costco, it won't get replaced outright, but I've sent cameras back to Canon and Sony to get fixed for a fee. Google the camera and issue and you'll probably be able to tell if fixing it would be worthwhile.

Ugh. This happened to me two years ago too. One of my boys dropped it trying to take pictures of the Christmas Eve dinner table. Bummed I only had my phone for pics. I hope you got some good one with your phone.
