I've got the avent monitor. I got the model with the temperature control figuring it might be a newer and upgraded model (and I have no idea if this is really true or not). I end up liking the temperature monitor since the thermostat setting can differ from the baby's room, so it's a nice feature. I've got the batteries installed for power outages and use this every single day. A great product
