I do this too and can usually manage until weeks like these next two when everything aligns and it is a nightmare of logisitics.

I should say no more often in the first place.

Before I was married, I was involved in too many things and it was making me crazy. I finally reached my breaking point and started telling people "I'm on a just say no campaign" whenever I was asked to be on a committee/board/whatever. It worked pretty well.

I have a big note on my whiteboard at work that says "NO in 2014".

I am really bad about school stuff, it is so easy to get sucked into volunteering for stuff at school and that will just suck you dry.
