I am beyond embarrassed to admit how many hours I have wasted on this completely mindless game. What is it about this game that makes it SO addictive?!!

I have never played video/electronic games before, but unfortunately, a co-worker said I should check it out. That was the beginning of the end.

...CANNOT....STOP.....UGH...

Trust me. You are not the only one.

I'm there with you. I'm considering leaving Facebook just to stay away from it - I play through FB. It is embarrassing how addicted I am to it.

Me too. I play on my phone and on my Kindle Fire. It's crazy.

Right there with you. I've also been known to curse when that flippin owl would fall off the moon. My family just laughs.

What is the deal with the owl? I've even playing on my iPad and never saw the owl and now I started playing on my iPhone, too and there's the owl. I don't understand the point. It's like two games going at once.

Right there with you. On level 318 and already blew through all the owl levels. Total time waster.

Uh oh. Just added it earlier today to the kids' iPad thinking they'd like it (haven't played it myself). They haven't seen it yet, but I think we're doomed.

Warning! Turn OFF in-app purchases immediately! (But turn them off if you play it, we can buy all the boosters we want, right? I only have to explain the charges to my husband who rolls his eyes and says I have a problem).

Oh, in-app purchases are disabled completely on their iPad. No worries there. :)

I waste enough time here and on FB. This is why I avoid video games!! I think I have an addictive personality!

I finally deleted it off my phone, was wasting way too much time on it!

Fun fact, do you know that the company makes $900,000 a day from candy crush purchases? Insane. Thankfully I never contributed to that.

I play a lot but have never purchased anything.

I've played an embarrassing amount, but will say I've never given them any money.

After mocking me for the past six months, DH started playing this weekend. I had it up on my laptop so he played some one night and then suddenly he had it on his phone.

I've been playing a lot too, either on my phone phone or on BF. Not as advanced as some of you. Still in 179 I think. Haven't purchased anything tho.

If you run out of lives on the computer go to your phone you get 5 more :D

Level 420 ~ hangs my head.

The ones between 420-425 were awful with the tornadoes! I was *this* close to quitting outright. The next few levels 430+ are manageable (not a good thing, since quitting would have been smarter).

You can also get more lives on iPad/iPhone by manipulating the Date/Time in settings. You can rewind the clock if you haven't played in a while and then advance forward as needed to get more lives. I am not addicted, I swear...

I am stuck on 158 and I started playing in the middle of summer. The longest levels for me though have been 38 or 39, and then 140. I was stuck for 2 weeks+ on both of those. I usually play once a day at work and will play until I go through all of my lives and most times if the level is really hard that's about 20 minutes. When it gets really bad I will look at You Tube videos for a specific level (I have done this with angry birds as well).

OP here. Thanks all- now I don't feel quite so bad, knowing that I have company! I'm clearly not so skilled, though. I've been playing over a month, and am only at level 45! I also haven't given them any money, and don't plan to.

Not to add to anyone's addiction(s), but I found 4 elements II for free (smartappsforkids.com) & thoroughly enjoyed it - I've never played video games before - it has an ending, though. And while I was bereft when I completed everything, I'm glad it put a stop to my addiction. I'm scared to try candy crush !
