The older ladies at Goodwill split on which decade it best fit in. I'm going to a costume party for a certain decade and I'm not sure I quite caught it.

It has a psychedelic 60s vibe, imo.

That's what I was thinking too.

Definitely 60's

I think it could also go 70's with the right bottoms, shoes and accessories.

Having lived through both, that would be my vote too.

Well, there's your answer!! I was debating 60s/70s.

Ha! Don't forget that the more flamboyant styles didn't really arrive 'til the late 60s and definitely spilled well into the 70s.

(Full disclosure: after spending most of the 60s wearing black turtlenecks, denim skirts and black tights, I got a dress in 1968 that makes the OP's pic look tame...)

I would say originally 60's to 70's, BUUUT I also think that you could wear something like this now and get away with it.

when I think 60s, I think of the flower child/hippy movement!

OP here, hooray, I was going for 60s. The styles in the 60s ran from Jackie Kennedy to Mods, Beach Boys to the hippie stuff so I had a good variety to pick from.

NCGrandma - turtleneck was my second choice but this caught my eye.

It's sheer so I'll wear a cami under. Haven't found the right bottom or shoes yet.

Thanks all!

70's to my eye.

I know, it really is iffy, but so not me that it'll be fun for a night so I'm running with it.

I think, NCGrandma explained it to a Tee. The styles changed over the course of the decade...so early 60's is going to look a lot more like the 50's and late 60's is going to look a lot more like the 70's. Paired with the right bottoms, it is more 60's than 70's...or...paired with the right bottoms it could be more 70's.

I think it will be great for the 60's have fun at the party!

:yeahthat: now i think about it acutally think it's more 60s bc of the colors..they are actually nice and bright.

70s to me is more of those mustard, icky green, burnt orange type colors...this looks brighter than that. LOL

Yes, one of the older ladies at goodwill told me to wear it with bell bottoms and birkenstocks and a "real hippie" would wear nothing under the sheer top (yikes!)

I was going to say 60's too. By the way, I love that blouse! Makes me want to throw a 60's party so I can go find one similar :)

Ok, I thought 80s. :bag Mostly because of the fluorescent colors on black sheer fabric. I think of 60s psychedelic as more browns, oranges, yellows. The collar does look early 60s though.

The maker is Qiongyu (written in cursive). I can't find it specifically on google as that is apparently a common word/name.

I too think of neon as belonging in the 80s (my teen years) but looking at the poster art from the 60s, I see in it the swirls from this blouse.

Thanks all!

I actually have been thinking the exact same thing but hesitated to post it because everyone else has seemed so sure it's from the 60s or 70s. It just looks very mid-80s to me, but I'm sure it can be styled to look 60s.
