Did anyone else see this deal? It seems too good to be true (2 round-trip air fare and 2 1-day disney passes for $139). You do have to book certain hotels through a certain travel company (One Stop Travel Agency). Looks like rates range from $140-$200+ per night, w/ minimum of 5 night stay. We've never done Disney w/ kids yet, so I'm not sure if this is a really good deal or not. DH thought you must have to do a timeshare presentation but it says you don't. Any thoughts?

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. A google search of the company pulled up this page. Now, who knows how credible these reviews are but it looks like a horrible company: eta- wait- that is for One Travel. Not sure if they are the same as One Stop Travel. Sorry about that. Sounds like a co. that offers super cheap deals then screws you over in some way. Anyway, try googling One Stop Travel and see how it goes.

I guess it would depend what your airfare would normally cost. For me (Austin, TX) area, airfare to Orlando is easily $250 or less a person. So airfare for 2 would be a value of about $500. Two 1 day Disney passes is $202.36. Usually if you are spending 5 nights, you would want to go to Disney World for more than 1 day. And it is likely these tickets are promotional and if so, you will not be able to upgrade them to a multi-day pass. You would be able to get a hotel in the airfare for $50 a night, especially if you go through Priceline/Hotwire. So 5 nights would be around $250. Add these costs together and you come up with approximately $950. If you bought the Plum District deal for $139 and went with the $140/night hotel for 5 nights, your cost would be $839, so a bit of savings. If you went with a $200/night hotel, your cost would be $1,139, so a bit higher. Guess it depends what type of hotel they are able to give you. They are likely inflating the cost of the hotel and passing on the cost of the tickets and airfare that way. Sounds like a good deal not that good if you break down the costs.

Here is a thread from SD from a previous time this was offered on Plum District. I do not think you would end up saving any money with this deal - it will cost you more just for the Advil you would need for the headaches it causes you. http://slickdeals.net/f/4625716-88-for-2-round-trip-airline-tickets-from-plumdistrict-600-value-also-includes-attraction-tickets

Thanks. I googled the travel agency last night and decided the high hotel costs plus taxes and fees would just make it really expensive. We weren't planning on doing Disney this year, as we are in the process of listing our house for sale and building a new one and that's enough headache for now! But if the price is right, we'd love to take the girls sooner rather than later.
