Super Bowl Pre-party in NYC

DS got tickets through work for a Super Bowl party tonight in NYC featuring two rock bands. He has no idea what the dress code is. As per DS, there is no dress code. The tickets were very pricey. It is partially a benefit and there will be some football stars there, so I assume that adds to the price of the ticket.

What do you suggest would be the proper attire ? I did not want to be over or under dressed. I also don't want to be cold. I went to a party at a bar hosted by friends last weekend and was so cold I put my down coat on for the last hour.

Your DS or DH got the tickets? The venue and sponsor might dictate the dress code as well.

Meant DH. DS wanted to go soooooo bad. The dress code was not set, but there was quite a variety of styles from jeans to suits to a flowing full length gown on a size 00 model followed around by her own photographer. It was a very entertaining evening of people watching. I am a firm believer in putting the dress code on an invite like that.
