Never fails- she chooses them again. After we've had this week scheduled for months. Sigh.
The annoying part is she has no idea she is even doing it. Which may be worse. Just not looking forward to when the girls are older and they notice it too. And she wonders why I can't live closer to them.

Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I can't talk to my mom about my kids without her immediately chiming in with a 'topper' about my niece. Literally every.single.time. It gets old.

I am sorry and feel your pain. MIL is all about her daughter's sons but could care less about mine. We have finally taken the attitude that it is her loss that she doesn't know her grandkids the way she should. MIL for Christmas got for daughter a huge present. We even helped her buy it so it would be a surprise. She got her other son a nice present and for us... nada. Nothing. nada, nothing. Talk about feeling special at Christmas time. I don't get it but whatever.
