I have been giving really cool pop up books to boys lately, specifically a sports illustrated & the two star wars books with incredible paper engineering.

I need a gift for a boy I have the Star Wars pop up to last year.

He's pretty artsy as far as ds' friends go -- very into theater and he does acting. Plays football & baseball, too.

Any suggestions?

We've been doing a spirograph with black paper and neon gel pens lately.

NFL mini football helmets
gc to Dick's (his parents would love this as baseball season is approaching)
Subscription to SI Kids

As far as theater type gifts go, most would be out of the price range for a normal bday party.

Lately, I've gifted:

- Boogie Board LED Writing Tablet (it's about $20)
- Tedco Sun Art Paper Kits (about $10)
- science experiment books

My girls love the boogie board....for the price it is a phenomenal gift IMO. we also use a lot for homeschool....i don't get why these never seemed to catch on too much.
