So proud of DS...

For the last few months, DS9 has been taking in the empty trash cans of our elderly neighbours. The first time it was at my prompting. One trash can had fallen over and they're difficult to lift up. These are BIG trash cans. DS did it. Then the next week, I told him we should take in their cans. DS now does it every week and I do our cans. A couple of weeks back they dropped off a thank you card and some money. DS thanked them and I've told them he's not doing it for money.

Today he was putting their trash cans away and asked me who takes them out day before trash day as they're heavy when full. I said I didn't know. The neighbors then pull up in their car and DS asked them who does it. The husband says he does it. I asked how he was and he tells me about difficulty with his legs etc. DS tells him "I'll put your trash cans out for you." The neighbor says no, they're too heavy. DS comes over to me and tells me he wants to do it, so I tell DS to talk to the neighbor. DS goes over and says "Let me do it for you every week." The neighbor agrees.

I speak to DS when we got inside and told him if you agree to do it every week, you have to do it, you can't forget. I can remind you. He tells me "No, it's my responsibility." :love5: him so much.

Then I ask him if he'll do our trash cans as well and he says "No, you can do those." :rotflmao: I suppose I'm not in my 80's so I can do ours.
