I am moving to loose tea vs bagged tea. Any suggestions for good brands?
TIA

Republic of tea.

I like ginger peach, earl greyer, irish breakfast and the downton abbey collection. You can get free shipping codes, we buy in bulk.

DH is our resident tea guru. Teavivre (http://www.teavivre.com) and David's Tea (http://www.davidstea.com) are the two places that DH mainly uses.

Den's Tea is great, if you like green tea (order online). Mariage Freres if you can find it (Williams-Sonoma carries one or two of their blends). I also love Bewley's Irish breakfast.

I've ordered from adagio a few times and also get teavana when I'm at the mall.

Upton Tea. I drink their Java Bop and decaf black currant tea daily. My husband likes their Finest Russian Caravan and Sumatra Bop.

Upton (buy samples first!) and Harney and Sons (I've only tried their raspberry herbal).

Another Tevana (although so expensive) and Adagio. I found Adaigo blends at my local Fresh Market much cheaper than online.

Peet's.

I'm a serious tea drinker (real tea, not fruity things called tea). My mom grew up on a tea estate and my parents used to take us on vacations to various tea growing regions of the world! If I'm not importing tea directly from estates, I go with Peet's. They are a bit more pricey than many others but the quality is very good and they almost always have free shipping codes.

You should have bought some tea in India (if you already went and came back - if not, make sure you get some!).

Ha thanks CM, my trip was delayed due to visa issues. Heading out in a couple of days I think. Will get some tea there for sure!

If you like Darjeeling, try and get some from Makaibari estates. I'm not a fan of Nilgiri tea, which is popular in Bangalore where you're going.
