Need shoe help

Ok so I need some shoe help! What shoes do you wear with skinny jeans or straight jeans when it is freezing cold out. I have boots, but today I just had on a casual sweatshirt and skinny jeans. I put in my sneakers and that looked horrible. I have uggs but I have thick calves and they don't look good with my jeans tucked in. I love flats with skinnies but it is just too cold out, any ideas?

I'd have worn boots with jeans and a sweatshirts. :) Sometimes I'll opt for my tall, fur lined winter boots if more casual in the winter. But, I think some flat brown leather boots could have looked fine.

Hunter boots? Booties? I tuck mine into my Ugg and Sorel boots too.

This winter I have worn my tall brown riding boots maybe 2-3 times :/. It s been brutally cold and snowy so I have lived in Sorels and uggs when dry... So done with this weather lol.

I have 16 1/4 calves and tuck in my skinny/straight jeans. Great for snow as you can just wipe off the salt/mud. Warmer than you'd think if you add nice socks (like smartwools).

My feet are always cold so I've been wearing my fur-lined boots (Bearpaw and faux fur ON ones) w/ skinnies all winter. Casual enough with just a hoodie sweatshirt and goes well w/ my thick fuzzy sweaters too. Can't wait til its warm enough to start wearing ballet flats and canvas slip-ons with them again!

I wear my Sorels. When it isn't too snowy/wet, I wear my riding boots.

Someone just recommended to TOMS booties to me the other day. They really are cute!

Thanks for the help ladies. All great ideas. I have been eyeing the toms wedges for awhile, I also have been liking the minnetonka ankle bootie. I am super casual and was even thinking of buying some new uggs but in the mini version. That way they would be at the ankle.
