Took DD2 to the doctor today b/c the daycare teacher noticed some white patching in her mouth and concerned it was thrush. She's been battling a yeast diaper rash so not too farfetched. Doctor agreed - 2 small spots so hoping that it means we caught it early. She's got no other symptoms and he prescribed Nystatin orally. I am to also put on my nipples before after feeding. Couple of questions/issues:

1) I'm running a low grade fever and slightly nauseous. No signs of yeast on my nipples - coincidence or symptoms?

2) Cleaning - how to clean cloth books and soft plush toys like Freddie the Firefly? Sunshine or wipe down and put on high heat in dryer?

3) Wondering if I should just do the Gentian Violet versus Nystatin - thoughts?

Last question - i'm not with the baby to swab her mouth every hour. We also cosleep - how does that affect treatment?
