Itchy bellybutton?

This is very odd. My bellybutton has itched for the last few weeks. Not around the bellybutton, but inside it. It's driving me buggy. I don't think it is the pants I wear, and I don't wear a belt every day so I don't think it is the metal from the buckle. Hydrocortizone cream works only temporarily. Any idea what it could be and how to treat it?

Is it red/raw, maybe yeast?

Alsolutely can be yeast -- any area that isn't really exposed cause be susceptable (arm pits, neck, belly button). I would try OTC cream, and definately like a cornstarch powder to keep the area dry.

Thanks. I'll try some of DDs' nystatin, since that's what I have in the house. I never thought about yeast!
