I am using prescription retinol (tretinoin) cream and regular moisturizer per the advice of my dermatologist. She offered other options but they were way more expensive.

Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair. It's actually very gentle for a retinol product. With any retinol product though, you should start with every other night and then build up to every night. And use a lot of sunscreen during the day!

What exactly do the retinol products do? Do they actually "erase" fine lines--like smooth them out? Do the retinol effects reverse if you stop using retinol? Why do you have to use more sunscreen?
