My SIL is getting married in 3 weeks. Both kids are in the wedding, DH and I are not. I bought a maxi skirt in a turquoise and white stripe print (the stripes are very narrow). What in the heck do I wear on top besides a white shirt? I want at least short sleeves or a lightweight sweater over something. 3/4 sleeves would be great.

The skirt is similar to this one, only turquoise and white:

I like the style shirt with this...any other colors that would also look nice? I'm clueless with this sort of stuff!

What about a white shirt with a scarf? Either the same turquoise as the skirt (solid), or a pattern (floral or other abstract) with a touch of the turquoise?

I have worn yellow, green, and navy with turquoise. Not sure if any of those would work with that skirt. You have to have accessories to pull it together. I have a turquoise/navy skirt that I sometimes wear with a navy top & yellow cardigan or just a yellow top. I wear both with yellow wedge sandals and a turquoise necklace. I have a title nine dress that has turquoise and green in it. Hope that helps.

What about a coral colored tank and statement necklace?

So I found this top that fit and I think looks ok with the style of skirt (I got it in white).

I am going to put a lightweight cardigan or open sweater over it. I bought a white one, but I'm still on the hunt in case I find something better. I was looking at some jewelry at Charming Charlie and found a couple of necklaces that might work. The turquoise is more of a blue based than green-based, so traditional turquoise doesn't quite work. What do you think about these in the blue:

Both also come in coral, which I had considered as well. Or do I need something more dramatic, more of a statement necklace? I am so, so clueless!
