Hold up, people pay $72 for two dozen biscuits? I had to google that to confirm it was a real thing. That's horrible.

Ha! I remember first hearing about Callie and her biscuits in an issue of Country Living last year. I went to her website and just about fell over when I saw those prices. But she's down in Charleston, S.C., with all that old Southern money, so I'm sure she has plenty of local customers.

Will have to watch that later. I found the Callie's recipe online awhile back and I didn't like it. Of course my $900 GE Profile or so priced oven (when it was new in 2003 or 2004) probably can't hold a flame to $5000+ commercial range she uses in her kitchen, but yeah I can't seeing paying $$$$ for goods to be mailed to me when I can make a darn good biscuit with self rising flour!

recipe: http://www.washingtonpost.com/pb/recipes/callies-biscuits/9603/

It is almost the same as the Gold Medal Self Rising flour biscuits except she uses cream cheese. Oh and I used Gold Medal flour and not White Lily.
