DD1 (7) is in first grade and turning into a strong reader. She loves Magic Treehouse, Junie B. Jones, Bailey School kids, Cam Jansen, and just started reading Horrible Harry books in guided reading at school. I was going through my massive collection of children's books (from my teaching days) and came across a bunch of The Zack Files. I'm not familiar with them at all, I think they were from a boy cousin and my aunt gave them to me for my second grade classroom when I was teaching. Suitable for a 7 year old girl to read? Anything I should know about them in advance? She really seems to like series books, any others that I should be looking for when we go to the library? She also has the first 4 books in the Never Girls series, we started that together last summer. And she has a ton of Boxcar Children ones but she thinks they are too hard for her to read independently right now.
