Our TV bit the dust last night and after doing research online it looks like we need to buy a new one since it's price prohibitive to fix it. Looking to replace a 46" LED TV. We just signed up for Consumer Reports (physical magazine) but don't have online access (which is a separate fee ). Hoping to get one by this weekend, thanks!

We have a 3D LED TV from LG, bought from Sam's Club. Very happy with it. We had to replace a Sony TV that bit the dust after only a couple of years, so I'd advise against that brand.

We bought a Panasonic Viera after DH had been stalking TVs in Consumer Reports for a few years. This one was also a best buy and highly rated. We've had it 2 or 3 yrs now and love it.

I got a 46" LG smart tv before Christmas for an awesome price and I love it. My mom has had an LG tv for years and it still looks great.

I think no matter what new TV you get you have a chance of getting one with a problem with a part, etc. I bought a great priced Vizio as a floor model at Target. It had an intermittent problem that would disappear once it warmed up. We contacted the company to see if there was anything they could do. Since we had just got it they said we could take it back for a full refund, however there was no way we could get another at that good of price. The Vizio person was, "No problem, I get it." They had someone come out to our house and replace the mother board. Still had the same intermittent issue. So then they just gave us a brand new TV! IT was a newer model. Delivered to our door. I was talking to the employee at Target who bought a Sony during the same period that had a more major problem, when he called them they said tough luck. He just wound up returning it.

Needless to say my experience with Vizio has made up my mind that when we finally decide to get a bigger TV for our living room we will be going with Vizio just of the customer service aspect.

we have an older LCD LG, a Samsung LCD and a Vizio LED. Happy with all 3 of them. Costco has good prices on Vizio TVs.

We bought a 50" LED LCD Panasonic smart tv at Costco last summer and are really happy with it. We debated between this one and the 47" LG and figured for $50 more why not go bigger! (It was our first tv in 10 yrs. so we figured we will probably be stuck with this one for quite sometime as well)

Our model is TC 50LE64.
