Do I send Ds with money???

Tomorrow is minimum day at school. I have a class and can't get to DS until 45 mins later. I arranged with a mom of his friend to pick DS up from school for 45 min play date and I'll get him from her house. All good. I just found out that the grandparents are taking her kids out to lunch tomorrow for the birthday of DS's friend. DS is still fine to go with them, the mom said it'll add to the birthday festivity that DS is there too. I think Grandparents are paying. I'm feeling like I should send Ds with money or something. There is a birthday party in couple weeks.

This is what I was thinking.....I'll stop on way home tonight at target/toys r us and get something DS can take with...I know the mom doesn't expect it, but I still think it's nice to do...
