Do either of these work well? I'd like to try something a little more natural now that we have finished the bottle of generic No More Tangles.

You can put a (start small--you can add more if necessary) dollop of your favorite conditioner in the bottle, add warm water, and shake to make your own detangling spray.

I'll have to try this. But the conditioner I use (and now DD uses although I'd rather find something more natural for her) is Herbal Essences. So, not very natural. :(

I haven't tried either of the ones you mentioned but we just started using Giovanni leave in spray conditioner (http://www.drugstore.com/giovanni-vitapro-fusion-leave-in-hair-treatment/qxp411574?catid=183457) and it works great. We have the Babo Botanicals detangler and it doesn't work as well as the Giovanni.

ETA - I bought the Giovanni at Whole Foods for approx. $5 on sale last week.

We've been happy with Kiss My Face kids' detangler in the past:

Mostly, though, I just comb through her hair when it's wet and keep it short! We do OK.

Not a spray but we use this leave in detangler and love it!

Another thumbs-up for the Giovanni detangler. I also use shea naturals products on DD's hair, but I'm cautious about them being too rich or moisturizing -- don't know if your DC's hair type would warrant the same concern. Also, while not natural, Suave makes a strawberry-scented detangler that's cheap and effective, but hard to find in our area.

I make our own from this recipe and I use the #4 option of Acure Organics Moroccan Argan Oil Conditioner:

http://wellnessmama.com/13101/diy-hair-detangling-spray/

I ordered the marshmallow root off of amazon and got it in 2 days. It took me the 20 minutes of boiling time to make 3 months worth of the detangling spray for all three kids and myself. I did double the amount of water in the recipe though. FWIW, it also kills the static issue that we have with our hair.
