We have a Breville and I don't know which model. But it seem to have a loose connection, works sometimes and don't other times. Sometimes depends on which way its turned. So we need to get a replacement. I think I paid close to $100 and maybe 2 years ago.

Please recommend yours.

TIA

We have this one from Hamilton Beach (http://smile.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-40870-Stainless-Electric/dp/B002QXOF7I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399907219&sr=8-1&keywords=hamilton+beach+electric+tea+kettle). We bought it at Costco a few years back. I've been quite happy with it.

Not a traditional electric kettle, but I love my Cuisinart Keurig with the hot water setting. It kills two birds with one stone.:) I would think about a Keurig option if you also need a coffee maker, especially if just for occasional coffee use for parties. I paid $150 for my unit, but there might be smaller models that also have a hot water feature for less money.

We have the same one, also purchased at Costco. It works well for us!

I've had this Cuisinart Kettle (http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CPK-17-PerfecTemp-1-7-Liter-Stainless/dp/B003KYSLNQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399910284&sr=8-1&keywords=cuisinart+kettle) for almost three years and it gets used several times a day.

I have a similar Hamilton Beach stainless kettle to the one linked to abovr that I love. Except that it has digital temp settings, which I really like more than I would've imagined. This way I can heat water for tea at a lower temp and make stuff for the kids at a lower temp too. Only bad thing is that because it's stainless, if you accidentally touch the side if it's hot, you can burn yourself. Otherwise, I love it. Prior to this one we had a bodum one, which I loved, but I wanted something that wasn't all plastic.

I bought a water boiler instead of a kettle. We drink a lot of tea and require being able to adjust the temperature for various types. I got it on Amazon. http://www.zojirushi.com/products/cdjuc

Price is great, but don't like the shape, might consider due to the price. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Another vote for the Costco one. When our beloved kettle died after many years, we shopped around a bit. The Costco one's not perfect (I'd rather have one that's prettier, zero plastic, & has variable temp) but we just couldn't beat the price. It's been great so far (6 months or so).

This. We've only had ours a year, but it's used heavily. The different temp settings are great.

I have had the Hamilton Beach cool touch kettle for 2.5 years and really like it. http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-40898-Cool-Touch-Cordless/dp/B000ES7I8A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400032098&sr=8-1&keywords=cool+touch+kettle No temp settings, but it boils water very quickly and doesn't get hot on the outside. I burned myself at work just today brushing my hand against a non-insulated one.

I got it on Amazon. http://www.zojirushi.com/products/cdjucOh wow, now I want one of these! I have the Cuisinart kettle and it works great, though the numbers have rubbed off from a couple of years' use. We make tea several times a day, and I also use it for my Aeropress coffee once or twice a day. I probably heat my kettle 4-6 times every day, more on weekends when my husband is home. I'm constantly filling the kettle and waiting for it to heat up... so the water boiler seems like a convenient alternative!
